How to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 before release with the Beta? Official launch date revealed
After months of speculation, Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the latest entry in the renowned first-person shooter franchise. The game will launch worldwide on November 14, 2025, becoming one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
The announcement has sparked major excitement thanks to several key features:
- A cooperative campaign mode that allows players to experience the story together.
- A revamped multiplayer, with new maps and rebalanced mechanics.
- The return of the iconic Zombies mode, an all-time fan favorite.
When will the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta take place?
As tradition dictates, Activision will host a Beta prior to the global release. The test will be divided into two phases:
- Early Access: begins on October 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST. Available only for those who pre-ordered the game on any platform.
- Open Beta: starts on October 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST, and will be available for all players free of charge.
Each testing phase will last 72 hours, giving players plenty of time to explore the new features and provide feedback.
Platforms available
The Beta and full release will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Some Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers will also gain Early Access, though not all users of these services will qualify.
How to join the Beta?
The process is straightforward:
- If you pre-ordered the game, you will receive a code or direct access for the Early Access phase.
- For the Open Beta, you only need to download the client from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam depending on your platform.
At this point, Activision has not confirmed any additional Beta periods, meaning these two rounds may be the only opportunity to play before the global launch.
With the schedule now official, October will be the first chance to experience the action, while November will determine if Black Ops 7 truly lives up to the Black Ops legacy.
