Ibai Llanos announces his real 11-a-side soccer team

Ibai Llanos takes the leap: he will have his own real soccer team this year

Ibai Llanos has confirmed one of the most ambitious projects of his career: founding his own real-life football team. The popular content creator made the announcement on social media, and the news has shaken both the football world and the digital community.

The plan is simple: start from the lowest tier of Spanish football —the fourth Catalan division— and climb the ranks over time, driven by passion and ambition.

From a dream with Piqué… to reality

This project isn’t entirely new. Years ago, Ibai and Gerard Piqué considered buying a football club. They even had a potential name: Tractores. Although that plan didn’t move forward, it planted a seed.

Eventually, they launched the Kings League, where Ibai runs Porcinos FC — the most professional team in the competition and current world champion. That experience now becomes a launchpad for something even bigger.

A community-driven initiative

Ibai has also called on his community to join the adventure: he's looking for 20 players and a full coaching staff to kick off the season.

"We’re going to need 20 players and a staff to compete. I’d love for you to be part of the team. Will we reach the Champions League in 15 years? I doubt it, but we’ll try.”

He also asked fans for help with something key: naming the team. Comments and suggestions from the community will decide the club’s identity.

From Porcinos to real football

While managing a Kings League team isn’t the same as competing in the official leagues, Ibai has proven that he can run a team with professionalism and long-term vision. Porcinos FC has not only won titles but also built a strong brand, something he now hopes to replicate on the real pitch.

The new club will begin in Catalonia’s fourth division, close to where Ibai currently lives. Expectations are high, and media attention is guaranteed.

A new chapter in digital football history

With this move, Ibai fully merges streaming culture with real football. The Kings League was a disruptive format for younger audiences, but this new team could redefine how creators participate in traditional sports.

It’s no longer just content. This is real football. And the journey begins this year.
