PC Fútbol 8 Returns with a Final Release Date and Creator Livestreams
The legendary PC Fútbol franchise is finally making a comeback—at least, that’s what the developers promise. After years of delays and radio silence, PC Fútbol 8 now has an official release date: May 23, 2025, along with livestreams from popular content creators to showcase the game.
A history of delays and broken promises
PC Fútbol 8 has had a rough development cycle. What once seemed like a promising reboot turned into a frustrating saga of missed deadlines and vague communication. At one point, the release was postponed due to changes in the UEFA Champions League calendar. Later, the lead developer stopped responding altogether.
The lack of updates led many to assume the game had been cancelled.
New date and livestreams to regain trust
On May 15, developer Una Partida Más confirmed the game’s release on May 23. A day earlier, on May 22, several content creators will stream gameplay previews of PC Fútbol 8. The names of the streamers haven’t been disclosed yet, but it’s a clear attempt to reignite public interest.
The studio claims they’ve used the extra time to:
- Run tests with human players
- Conduct automated QA using GameDriver
- Polish gameplay and technical systems

“We understand your frustration”
In their statement, the developers acknowledged past mistakes:
“Our communication wasn’t what it should’ve been, and we understand the frustration caused by repeated delays.”
They added that the silence helped them focus on delivering a stronger product:
“This time allowed us to review every detail and prepare a solid, stable launch.”
Will they deliver this time?
Despite skepticism, this is the first time the team seems transparent and committed. They promise that those who pre-ordered the game will get access on May 23, and that more surprises are coming soon.
After so many setbacks, the community waits to see if PC Fútbol 8 will finally meet expectations—or if it’s just another false start.
